Logos of music techniques related magazines

music-magazine-logos

I’ve found this logo set of musician magazines weeks ago, so I can not credit anybody ( don’t remember the source ), but still – it’s a decent selection. Nice job, man! Whoever you are.

Fast preview tells you it’s about instruments naming,  rectangular backgrounds, more logotypes than marks, usage of basic colors – black, white, blue, red, yellow.. nothing brave – pinky or…. green ?!

I like the approach of the “red keyboard” logotype in the center. Also the distinctive  “Rhytmi” typo ( center down ). Whit the reservation that something should be done with the “i” at the end :)

PS: Don’t know if the “notes” as a  shape are too naive for these designers, but I see none around. Wondering why…

Hmm..

Well, musical notes of the western variety are the same for every instrument, so including an eighth note or whatever else doesn’t rely convey anything important about these niche magazines.

The only musical notation that would be relevant would be the treble, bass, and neutral clefs, as these indicate the pitch of an instrument (guitar, bass, percussion, etc)
